چکیده

در این تحقیق اثر پیری جمعیت بر رشد اقتصادی با توجه به متغیر رشد جمعیت و شاخص امید به زندگی برآورد می‌شود. برای این منظور از روش تفاضلگیری، میانگینزدایی و روش متغیرهای مجازی در داده‌های تلفیقی شامل 146 کشور طی سال‌های 2013-1990 استفاده شده است. نتایج نشان می‌دهد، اثر منفی پیری جمعیت بر رشد اقتصادی در کشورهایی ظاهر می‌شود که شاخص امید به زندگی آنها بالای70 سال باشد و در کشورهایی که امید به زندگی پایین 70 سال است، اثر پیری جمعیت بر رشد اقتصادی منفی نیست. همچنین نتایج این مقاله نشان می‌دهد، نرخ رشد جمعیت در صورتی بر رشد اقتصادی اثر مثبت می‌گذارد که جمعیت بالای 65 سال حداقل 18 درصد و حداکثر 21 درصد از کل جمعیت باشد. در کشوری که جمعیت بالای 65 سال بیش از درصد یادشده است، اثر مثبت رشد جمعیت بر رشد اقتصادی تضعیف می‌شود.
